Returns and refunds

The short version: if they do not fit, or you change your mind, send them back within 30 days.

Your legal rights come first

Under section 44 of the ECTA you may cancel within 7 days of delivery and return the goods for a refund. Under sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act you have the right to goods that are of good quality and free of defects, for 6 months. Nothing below reduces those rights — our 30-day window is offered on top of them.

Our 30-day exchange and return

Within 30 days of delivery you may return an unworn item in its original packaging, with tags attached, for an exchange or a refund. If the size is wrong, we pay the return shipping and send the replacement pair free. You are not out of pocket for a size that did not fit.

Hygiene — please read this one

Swimwear must be unworn and returned with the hygiene liner still in place. We cannot accept swimwear that has been worn, for reasons we hope are obvious. Try them on over your own underwear and keep the liner in until you are sure.

Faulty or wrong items

If they arrive damaged, faulty, or are not what you ordered, tell us within 30 days and we pay the return shipping and replace or refund them. Under the Consumer Protection Act you may choose a repair, a replacement or a refund for defective goods.

Change of mind

We pay the return shipping here too — the same free return applies whether the size was wrong or you simply changed your mind. The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in its original packaging with the hygiene liner intact.

How to return something

  1. Email hello@windgat.co.za with your order number and what is wrong.
  2. We reply with the return address and instructions.
  3. Post it, and keep your tracking number.
  4. Once it arrives and passes inspection, we process your refund within 5 business days, back to the original payment method.

What we cannot take back

Worn swimwear, items returned without the hygiene liner, and anything sent back after 30 days that is not faulty.
